About IC

Integrate Climate is a registered charity based in Berlin, Germany. It was founded in 2013 by international development professionals working in the fields of community development, human rights advocacy, disaster risk reduction and humanitarian emergencies.

At Integrate Climate, we believe that climate change poses one of the greatest threats to human development on the planet.

Predicted temperature increases under two scenarios: The current lack of effective climate change mitigation actions makes it highly unlikely that the low scenario can be achieved.

The current lack of effective climate change mitigation actions makes it highly unlikely that the low scenario can be achieved.

Rising greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, melting ice sheets and damage to oceanic systems caused by human activity are changing our climate and warming our planet at an unprecedented rate.

If left unchecked, climate change will contribute to mass extinctions of biological life, destruction of natural eco-systems and widescale loss of human lives and livelihoods. Extreme storms, floods, droughts, erosion of coastal habitat and agricultural land, food insecurity, water scarcity, and the spread of tropical diseases are just some of the impacts that will be felt around the world.

Societies and communities already vulnerable to climate hazards, and who lack the capacity and resources to cope with the impacts of climate change are most at risk.

Without substantial measures for climate mitigation and adaptation, such populations stand to suffer high social and economic costs.
