About IC

Integrate Climate is a registered charity based in Berlin, Germany. It was founded in 2013 by international development professionals working in the fields of community development, human rights advocacy, disaster risk reduction and humanitarian emergencies.

At Integrate Climate, we believe that a wide range of organisations need to address climate change, including humanitarian and development NGOs.

Predicted temperature increases under two scenarios: The current lack of effective climate change mitigation actions makes it highly unlikely that the low scenario can be achieved.

The current lack of effective climate change mitigation actions makes it highly unlikely that the low scenario can be achieved.

Rising greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, melting ice sheets and damage to oceanic systems caused by human activity are increasing humanitarian and long-term developmental risks. Societies and communities already vulnerable to climate hazards, and who lack the capacity and resources to cope with the impacts of climate change are most at risk.

Integrate Climate seeks a world where sustainable social and economic development preserves natural environments and enables societies to address the local and global impacts of climate change.

Our mission is to

  • Mainstream and promote climate compatible development
  • Build resilience amongst people affected by negative climate change impacts
  • Advocate for climate mitigation and adaptation measures on local, national and global levels
